Daniel
Daniel is a singer and guitarist studying classical voice at the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University. As a passionate educator and performer, Daniel is all about sharing the joy of making music and hopes to foster a love for the art form in every student he works with.
While he is currently studying to become an opera singer, Daniel's diverse skillset also encompasses a wide variety of other styles. With a background in the rich choral tradition of New Zealand, he has extensive experience performing with many high level choirs, ranging from large community choirs such as the Auckland Youth Choir to highly refined chamber choirs like the Neotectonic Vocal Ensemble. Having started his training in contemporary singing, styles such as Musical Theatre, Jazz, Pop, and Rock are also not unfamiliar to him.
Daniel also has a vast knowledge of guitar repertoire and pedagogy, as he has been playing since the age of 12 and has performed with many bands spanning a diverse range of genres including Rock, Pop, Jazz, Funk, Fusion, Metal, and even Math Rock, just to name a few! As a highly technical player, he pays a lot of attention to every nuance of guitar playing, and his favourite music is often the music that pushes the boundaries of making music with a guitar!
Best for: students who want highly individualised care in developing their technique, confidence, and musicality, while maintaining a structured approach to achieving their goals in a way that is healthy and sustainable, but most importantly, fun! Every student is unique and learns differently.
