Beginner Starter Packs

Starting a new instrument is exciting — and a little overwhelming. Australian Academy of Music can help you put together everything a beginner needs to get started, from the instrument itself through to books, accessories and lessons.

What’s in a Starter Pack?

A beginner starter pack typically includes the instrument, a protective case, essential accessories and a beginner method book. The exact contents vary by instrument but our team can help you build the right kit for your needs and budget.

• Guitar — guitar, tuner, picks, strap, case and beginner method book
• Ukulele — ukulele, tuner, picks and beginner method book
• Keyboard / Digital Piano — keyboard, sustain pedal, stand and beginner method book
• Violin — violin outfit (instrument, bow and case), rosin and beginner method book
• Drums — drum kit or practice pad, sticks and beginner method book
• Brass and woodwind — instrument, case, reeds (if applicable), cleaning kit and beginner method book

School Band Starter Packs

If your child is joining a school band program, we can help you put together a complete school band starter kit including the instrument, reeds or sticks, a method book and any accessories required by the school.

Add Lessons

The best way to get started is with a lesson. Our teachers can help beginners build good habits from the very first session. Ask about lesson availability when you pick up your starter pack.
