The Academy Chamber Music Group is a course for developing musicians that are interested in, or open to getting involved in classical performance on the instrument that they study at the Academy, for leisure or as a potential career. It is suitable for students who may have little performance experience but have the skills and enthusiasm to begin playing in ensembles. It is also advantageous for more experienced students, as it will be focused on developing the skills, knowledge, and confidence that can give them an advantage in AMEB exams, auditions, other ensembles, and music theory. The course will run for the six middle weeks of each school term. Instruments we are looking for are: Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass, Saxophone, Flute, Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Trumpet and Trombone. Sessions will be held Saturdays 3-5pm at the Academy.
